Primarily operating around Hampshire, As a Ground Worker, you will handle various tasks such as paving, concreting, drainage, soak-aways, repairs, and replacing all types of fencing and bricklaying. Your role will require adherence to good building maintenance practices. Proficiency in bricklaying,, fencing, concreting, tarmac/slab laying, plastering, and basic carpentry.
What does the day to day look like:
- You’ll be carrying out Groundworks, and general building repairs in both occupied and void properties, as well as communal areas and garages, or out buildings managed by the client.
- Performing response maintenance, void works, and planned maintenance on tenanted social housing properties.
- Installing or replacing various types of paving, including slabs, concreting or tarmacing, including dropped kerbs, ramps, driveways, and paths, basic rendering and carpentry works.
Qualifications and skills:
- Have a valid UK driving License
- Have a background with groundworks on residential properties
- Ideally, some social housing experience
- Have a formal qualification NVQ level 2 or CSCS blue card in Ground working
- Have experience with concreting, slab laying, tarmacing disabled adaptations, building paths, laying kerbs and concreting.
