Job Details:
- Job Role: Floating Support Worker for a Homelessness Charity
- Location: Cardiff-Based / Home-Based (1 day per week)
- Contract: Fixed-term contract until 31st December 2024 (strong potential for extension)
- Salary: £26,623.80 annually (£14.66 p/hour, including holiday pay)
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Day work)

Your purpose as a Floating Support Worker:
- In this dynamic role, you’ll work independently within the community, delivering trauma-sensitive, personalised support to those who are in a housing crisis or at risk of homelessness.
- You’ll provide life-changing, person-centred support, helping clients take control of their lives and achieve their goals.
- You’ll coordinate with other services to ensure the best outcomes for your clients, always respecting their choices and diversity.
What you’ll need to be successful as a Floating Support Worker?
- Experience in support work, particularly with people who are in housing need or homeless.
- Knowledge of the benefits and housing system.
- A good understanding of Safeguarding processes and risk assessments
- Experience working with people in crisis.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full-time access to a vehicle to attend appointments in the community.
