💼 Job Title: Refuge Support Worker
📍 Location: Pontypool, Torfaen
⏳ Hours: 21-28 hours per week (3-4 days per week, between Monday and Friday)
🗓️ Flexible shifts: 9am-4:30pm & 11am-6:30pm
📑 Contract: Temporary, Part-Time (3-4 days)
💰 Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour + £1.78 holiday pay

What you'll do as a Refuge Support Worker:
- Provide a range of support and practical advice to women and children in a refuge setting
- Help with safety planning, risk assessments, and emotional support
- Support women and families in crisis because of abuse.
- Signpost and refer individuals to essential services, including housing, legal, social support etc.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment in the refuge
What you’ll need for this Refuge Support Worker opportunity:
✅ Experience supporting vulnerable people (VAWDASV knowledge is a bonus!)
✅ A good understanding of the impact domestic abuse / violence has on women and children
✅ Ability to work compassionately and empower service users
✅ Good IT, communication, and organisational skills
