Working Wardrobe Visits: Women in Corporate and Finance Event

Recently, we had the opportunity to participate in the Women in Corporate and Finance networking event at Two Central Square in Cardiff, hosted by our good friends at RBC Brewin Dolphin.

What an incredible turn out!

We were thrilled to be invited on behalf of our charity, Working Wardrobe, where we had the opportunity to meet and connect with over 60 inspiring women from the Corporate and Finance industry.

Building Bridges and Spreading Awareness

Attending the WiCAF event gave our Operations Director Rachel a space to wave our Working Wardrobe flag proudly, sharing our vision of supplying high-quality workwear to job seekers in need of an extra confidence boost.

Something as simple as necessary workwear shouldn’t be a barrier when it comes to securing a job interview or work placement. The clothing we supply through our charity (both via generous donators and top label brands) are for candidates to keep forever, so they can feel their best time and time again.

From this event alone, we were able to collect an amazing 93 pieces of wonderful workwear via our donation drive. Every item counts when it comes to supporting our dedication to positively impact lives.

Not only do we want potential candidates to feel their most confident, but we’re also here to provide the best tools of support, so interviewers feel prepared with their answers and ready to enter the world of work.

Our Operations Director Rachel was happy to share the stories of two individuals who had previously reached out to the charity, to showcase the incredible impact clothing can have and advise on the many ways individuals and organisations can support via donations and volunteering days.

Our Gratitude

We have to say a special thank you to Rachel Mathias from RBC Brewin Dolphin for extending an invitation and supporting us in setting up a clothing drive on the day.

We were overwhelmed with the dedication shown by the event’s attendees who generously supplied a variety of clothing suitable for work. From dresses and suits, to smart trousers and skirts, there was an outstanding range which will go a long way to make a difference.

It’s through collaborative efforts such as these that we can make an impact to empower individuals to thrive in their career ambitions.

We are really grateful to the Women in Corporate & Finance Event, hosted by Brewin Dolphin for all the donations we received on the day - your support has such an impact on jobseekers who would not be able to afford an interview outfit - thank you

Working Wardrobe, Operations Director

We’re currently in need of smart, work shoes for both men and women.

Our aim is to collaborate with a series of organisations to kickstart donation drives, like the one from this event, to collect the necessary items our charity is missing.

Items will be heading to Moxie People’s headquarters before making their way to Rachel at our Working Wardrobe warehouse.

To arrange a donation drop-off, discuss setting up a drive or find out more about our volunteering opportunities, please get in touch.
